Soft cakes made to be enjoyed warm

Warm Poke Cake Recipes

Warm poke cakes are made for the part of baking when waiting for everything to cool feels impossible. Each cake is poked while warm so its filling can settle into the crumb, creating an especially soft, spoonable dessert with flavor in every bite.

This is a newer series, beginning with mocha and banana-cornmeal cakes. The collection will grow as I develop more desserts specifically meant to be filled and enjoyed warm.

Why this series exists

Filled while warm

The filling is part of the structure of these cakes, not a finishing drizzle. It sinks into the freshly baked crumb and changes the texture from the inside out.

Serve them warm when the cake is at its softest and the filling feels especially generous.
